SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Roger K. Hendrickson of East Moline,
4who passed away on April 28, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Roger Hendrickson was born to Martin Dale and
6Ethel Fern Mason Hendrickson in Macomb on October 30, 1936; he
7graduated from Moline High School and served in the U.S. Navy;
8he married Dorothy A. Versluis at St. Mary's Catholic Church
9in East Moline on August 24, 1957; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Roger Hendrickson was employed with John Deere
11Harvester in East Moline for 33 years; he retired in 1992; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Roger Hendrickson enjoyed bowling, golfing,
13fishing, and taking family trips to their cabin in Minnesota;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Roger Hendrickson was preceded in death by his
16son-in-law, Dennis Lang; his parents; his sister, Joyce
17Hoffman; and an infant brother; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Roger Hendrickson is survived by his wife,
19Dorothy; his daughters, Susan Lang and Tamara (John)
20DeBisschop; his son, Mark (Jessica) Hendrickson; his

1grandchildren, Daniel (Jasmine) Carr, Stephen (Ashley) Carr,
2Emily (Travis) Boyle, Scott Lang, Lisa (Mike) Janes, Heather
3(Kyle) Patton, Leo DeBisschop, Lucy DeBisschop, Roger
4Hendrickson, and Lauren Hendrickson; nine great-grandchildren;
5his brother-in-law, James Hoffman; several nieces and nephews;
6and other family members; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Roger K. Hendrickson and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Roger Hendrickson as an expression
14of our deepest sympathy.
