SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jack R. Haskins of Hampton, who passed
4away on December 1, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jack Haskins was born to Chester and Marjorie
6(Weckel) Haskins in Rock Island on July 27, 1935; he graduated
7from Port Byron High School and served honorably as a corporal
8in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War; he married
9Grace B. Wise at the Hampton United Methodist Church on June 6,
101958, and she preceded him in death on April 6, 2015; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jack Haskins worked for ALCOA for 42 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jack Haskins loved fishing, mushroom hunting,
13golfing, bowling, and playing cards with his grandchildren; he
14was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jack Haskins was preceded in death by his wife;
16his parents; his sister, Joan Tolliver; and his brother, Louis
17"Lee" Haskins; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jack Haskins is survived by his children, Scott
19Haskins, Peggy McLaughlin, Jack Haskins Jr., Terry Haskins,
20Jerry Haskins, and Mike Haskins; his sister, Joyce Reiling; his

1sisters-in-law, Barb Haskins, Susie Bledsoe, and Rosemary
2Hassell; his eight grandchildren; his 19 great-grandchildren;
3and his one great-great-grandchild; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Jack R. Haskins and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Jack Haskins as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
