SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Kenneth Morris "Kenny" Davidson of
4Urbana, who passed away on June 4, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenny Davidson was born in Memphis, Tennessee to
6Kenneth P. and Vietta (Johnson) Davidson on January 5, 1936; he
7attended school in Decker, Indiana; after graduating from high
8school, he enlisted in the United States Navy; he married
9Marlene Current in Vincennes, Indiana on April 4, 1958; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Kenny Davidson started working for the Eisner
11Corporation after he was honorably discharged from the United
12States Navy; after he relocated to Chicago, he started his
13career at the University of Illinois and retired after 15 years
14of service; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Kenny Davidson was a member of the Mattis Avenue
16Free Methodist Church and the American Legion Post #1492; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Kenny Davidson was preceded in death by his
18parents and his grandson, Andrew Haines; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Kenny Davidson is survived by his wife, Marlene;
20his children, Cassie (Randy) Haines and Kendra (Chris)

1Changnon; his grandchildren, Kristi (Jake) Tammen, Blake
2(Chris Piper) Changnon, Blaine (Bekah Bamert) Haines, Paige
3Changnon, and Parker Changnon; and his great-grandsons, Mason
4and Jaxon; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Kenneth Morris "Kenny" Davidson and extend our sincere
8condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
9him; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Kenny Davidson as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
