1    AN ACT concerning health.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Alzheimer's Disease Research Act is amended
5by changing Sections 3 and 3.2 as follows:
 
6    (410 ILCS 410/3)  (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 6903)

8    Sec. 3. (a) There is created the Alzheimer's Disease
9Research Fund, a special fund in the State Treasury.
10    (b) The Department of Public Health shall deposit any
11donations received for the grant program created pursuant to
12this Act in the Alzheimer's Disease Research Fund.
13    (c) The General Assembly may appropriate monies in the
14Alzheimer's Disease Research Fund to the Department of Public
15Health for the purpose of awarding grants pursuant to this Act.

7the requirements under Section 3.2 4 of this Act.

12    Sec. 3.2. Use of moneys in the Fund. Moneys in the
13Alzheimer's Disease Research, Care, and Support Fund shall be
14used by the Department of Public Health to cover costs
15associated with this Act, including, but not limited to, the
16following:
17        (1) salary and benefits for the full-time position of
18    Dementia Coordinator within the Department; and
19        (2) other expenses contingent with the
20    responsibilities of the Dementia Coordinator, including,
21    but not limited to, travel and professional development
22    opportunities; .
23        (3) if funding is available after supporting
24    activities under paragraphs (1) and (2), executing
25    appropriate modules of the Behavioral Risk Factor

1    Surveillance System and otherwise administering relevant
2    data collection; and
3        (4) if funding is available after supporting
4    activities under paragraphs (1), (2), and (3),
5    implementing recommendations outlined in the Alzheimer's
6    Disease State Plan.

8    Section 95. No acceleration or delay. Where this Act makes
9changes in a statute that is represented in this Act by text
10that is not yet or no longer in effect (for example, a Section
11represented by multiple versions), the use of that text does
12not accelerate or delay the taking effect of (i) the changes
13made by this Act or (ii) provisions derived from any other
14Public Act.
 
15    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January
