AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1756

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1756 by replacing
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by
5changing Section 155.36 as follows:
 
6    (215 ILCS 5/155.36)
7    Sec. 155.36. Managed Care Reform and Patient Rights Act.
8Insurance companies that transact the kinds of insurance
9authorized under Class 1(b) or Class 2(a) of Section 4 of this
10Code shall comply with Sections 45, 45.1, 45.2, and 85,
11subsection (d) of Section 30, and the definition of the term
12"emergency medical condition" in Section 10 of the Managed Care
13Reform and Patient Rights Act.

1amended by changing Section 5-10 as follows:
 
2    (215 ILCS 125/5-10)
3    Sec. 5-10. Health maintenance Managed care organizations;
4revenue data.
5    (a) No health maintenance managed care organization shall
6pass the cost of the assessment imposed pursuant to Article V-H
7of the Illinois Public Aid Code on to consumers as a discrete
8addition to their premiums.
9    (b) The Department shall provide the Department of
10Healthcare and Family Services with member months and premium
11revenue data needed for implementing the assessment imposed
12under Article V-H of the Illinois Public Aid Code.

14    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
15becoming law, except that Section 5 takes effect on January 1,
162020.".
