1    AN ACT concerning government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Attorney General Act is amended by adding
5Section 10 as follows:
 
6    (15 ILCS 205/10 new)
7    Sec. 10. Complaint data collection.
8    (a) The Attorney General shall compile data concerning
9accessibility violations and post that information on the
10Internet website of the Attorney General as provided under this
11Section.
12    (b) The Attorney General shall identify the various types
13of construction-related physical access violations alleged in
14complaints, and shall tabulate the number of claims alleged for
15each type of violation in the complaints and the number of
16complaints in which the alleged violations were founded.
17    (c) Periodically, but not less than every 6 months
18beginning July 31, 2020, the Attorney General shall post on the
19Internet website of the Attorney General a list, by type, of
20the 10 most frequent types of accessibility violations alleged
21in the complaints and the number of alleged violations for each
22listed type of violation for the prior 2 quarters, as well as
23the number of complaints in which the alleged violations were

1founded.
2    (d) The Attorney General shall, on a quarterly basis,
3identify and tabulate the number of accessibility violation
4complaints received by the Office of the Attorney General and
5the number of those complaints received by the Attorney General
6in which the alleged violations were founded. The Attorney
7General shall further ascertain whether a complaint was filed
8in State or federal court, and tabulate the number of
9complaints filed in State or federal court, respectively. This
10data shall be posted on the Attorney General's Internet website
11periodically, but not less than every 6 months beginning July
1231, 2020.
13    (e) Beginning in 2020, and for each year thereafter, the
14Attorney General shall submit an annual report to the General
15Assembly on or before January 31 of the tabulated data for the
16preceding calendar year as provided under subsections (b), (c),
17and (d).
 
18    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
19becoming law.
