HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Cary
4"Bubba" McClain of Country Club Hills, who passed away on June
528, 2019; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Cary McClain was born to Cary McClain Sr. and
7Clara Hopkins-McClain on April 19, 1943; he was a native of
8Norwood, Louisiana, where he attended Antioch Baptist Church;
9he graduated from West High School in Jackson, Louisiana in
101961 and served in the U.S. Army; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Cary McClain settled in Chicago after his military
12service and worked for the Ford Motor Company; he retired in
132004 after 37 years of service; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Cary McClain was a member of Second Mount Vernon
15Baptist Church in Chicago; he will be remembered as a kind,
16tenderhearted, and outspoken individual, who gave to the less
17fortunate and greeted everyone with a smile; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Cary McClain was preceded in death by his parents;
19and
 
20    WHEREAS, Cary McClain is survived by his wife, Sandra

1(Lucas) McClain; his children, Cary McClain III, Kimberly
2Scott, Alicia (Shuntell) Johnson, and Devin McClain; his
3siblings, Edward (Sandra) McClain, Larry (Magdalene) McClain,
4Cora Jackson, Joyce McClain, Jane McClain, Judy McClain, Johnny
5(Gwendolyn) McClain, and Freddie McClain; seven grandchildren;
613 nieces and nephews; 22 great-nieces and great-nephews; and
7numerous cousins and friends; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
9HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
10we mourn the passing of Cary "Bubba" McClain and extend our
11sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
12and loved him; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Cary McClain as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
