HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Martin F. Victor on the
4occasion of his 100th birthday; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Martin Victor was born on August 4, 1919 and is a
6widower of Adeline Jacques Victor, his loving wife; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Martin Victor is a World War II veteran; he served
8as a Private 1st Class and was stationed in France and Belgium
9in Unit 614, Medical Clearing Company; during his time in the
10service, he received a Good Conduct Medal and a sharp shooter
11accommodation; after serving his country, he received an
12honorable discharge; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Martin Victor is a longtime resident of Steger and
14is an active parishioner of St. Liborius Church in Steger; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Martin Victor is a retired machinist; he is a
16generous person and always helps anyone that he possibly can;
17he has loved to play golf for most of his life and was a scratch
18golfer as a young man; and
 
19    WHEREAS, August 4, 1919 marks a significant day to
20celebrate, a centenary of having an incredible individual on

1this earth; Martin Victor's inspiration is motivation for
2everyone; he has defied all odds through many historic events
3and endless scenarios of both triumphs and tribulations;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
6HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
7we congratulate Martin F. Victor on his 100th birthday and hope
8that it is filled with the same immense joy he shared with his
9loved ones for 100 years, and we wish him good health, joy,
10happiness, amazing grace, and perfect peace of mind; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to Martin Victor as a symbol of our respect and
14esteem.
