HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Carrie Fullerton,
4Executive Director of the Bloomingdale Park District, on
5receiving the Illinois Association of Park Districts' (IAPD)
6Honored Professional Award; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Carrie Fullerton has served IAPD and the Illinois
8Parks & Recreation Association in many capacities, including as
9board member, board chair, board secretary, continuing
10education chair, finance committee member, and legislative
11breakfast coordinator; since 1997, she has presented many
12conference sessions; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Carrie Fullerton attended the University of
14Illinois and has served on the Department of Leisure Studies
15Advisory Board and Graduate Advisory Committee; presently, she
16is a member of the Western DuPage Special Recreation
17Association Board of Directors; at the national level, she has
18chaired the national Recreation & Park Association National
19Revenue School and has spoken at several park and recreation
20conference sessions, most recently in Colorado, Georgia, and
21Alabama; and
 
22    WHEREAS, Carrie Fullerton has published numerous articles,

1and, in 2002, received the Best Marketing Article of the Year
2Award from IP&R Magazine; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Carrie Fullerton has received many honors,
4including the University of Illinois's Joseph Bannon
5Practitioner Award and the American Academy of Park &
6Recreation Administration's Young Professional Award; she was
7named Outstanding Professional of the Year by the NRPA Great
8Lakes Region, Professional of the Year by both IPRA and
9Facility Management Sections, and was named one of the "Power
1025" leaders in the Leisure Industry by Aquatics International;
11she was a member of the American Academy for Park and
12Recreation Administration; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Besides being a consummate professional, Carrie
14Fullerton is a loyal employee, a trusted friend, and a loving
15and caring wife and mother; she and her husband, Paul, have
16four children; therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
18HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19we congratulate Carrie Fullerton on receiving the Illinois
20Association of Park District's Honored Professional Award, and
21we wish her the best in her future endeavors; and be it further
 
22    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
