1    AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by adding
5Section 7-135.5 as follows:
 
6    (40 ILCS 5/7-135.5 new)
7    Sec. 7-135.5. Required public posting of information by the
8Fund.
9    (a) The Fund shall post on its publicly available website
10the following information regarding municipalities that
11participate in the Fund that the Fund has in its possession:
12(1) copies of all resolutions adopted by a municipality on or
13after January 1, 1995 to participate in the Fund if such a
14resolution was required; (2) an annual report listing each
15municipality and the date each municipality first became a
16municipality that participates in the Fund; (3) all documents
17pertaining to each municipality's annual projected future
18contributions under this Article; and (4) information about the
19amount of each municipality's past required contributions to
20the Fund for each year of participation on or after January 1,
211995 and before, if available.
22    (b) A municipality that has a website shall post to its
23website, no later than January 1, 2021, a link to the

1information provided by the Fund under this Section. A
2municipality that establishes a website on or after January 1,
32021 shall post to its website a link to the information
4provided by the Fund under this Section.
5    (c) This Section does not require the Fund to post on its
6website information that is exempt from disclosure under the
7Freedom of Information Act.
8    This Section does not require a municipality to establish
9or maintain a website.
 
10    Section 90. The State Mandates Act is amended by adding
11Section 8.43 as follows:
 
12    (30 ILCS 805/8.43 new)
13    Sec. 8.43. Exempt mandate. Notwithstanding Sections 6 and 8
14of this Act, no reimbursement by the State is required for the
15implementation of any mandate created by this amendatory Act of
16the 101st General Assembly.
 
17    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
182020.
