SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Judith D. Harmon of River Forest, who
4passed away on August 23, 2018 at the age of 86; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Judith Harmon was born on February 28, 1932, the
6only child of James and Laurette Bowdern; she was a native of
7the Austin neighborhood and attended St. Patrick's Academy for
8Girls, Siena High School, and Loyola University; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Judith Harmon, a River Forest resident, was an
10active member of St. Luke Parish for over 50 years and was an
11involved parent at Trinity High School and St. Ignatius College
12Prep; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Judith Harmon was active in the real estate
14business; she worked for Pilgrim O'Neil, WR James, and Remax in
15the Village; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Judith Harmon was a long-time friend and neighbor
17to the Robert E. Gorski family; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Judith Harmon was preceded in death by her beloved
19husband of 57 years, Leo Harmon Sr.; her brothers-in-law, Jim,
20Bob, Joe, and Don; and by her sisters-in-law, Marion, Helen,

1and Veronica (Ronny); and
 
2    WHEREAS, Judith Harmon is survived by her children, Cindy
3(Bill Mastbrook), Laurette, Leo (Kathleen), and Peter (Joan
4Smith); her grandchildren, Sean (Rachel), Matt (Kara),
5Colleen, and Conor Harmon, Brennan, Logan, and Riley Harmon,
6Michael, Danielle (Jimmy), Sean, Patrick, and Jack Mallers, and
7Liam, Aidan, Declan, and Annabelle Mastbrook; her
8great-grandchildren, Luke, Hannah, and Genevieve Harmon and
9Brooke Johnson; her sisters-in-law, Marge and Anne Harmon; and
10too many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces, and
11nephews to count; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Judith D. Harmon and extend our sincere condolences to her
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Judith Harmon as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
