SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marianne Hall who passed away on August
426, 2018 at the age of 82; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marianne Hall was born June 11, 1936, the daughter
6of Edward and Helen (Lang) Ryan; she married William Hall, and
7together they raised nine children; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Marianne Hall was a dedicated employee of 20 years
9at Avenue/US Bank in Oak Park; she was also a devoted
10parishioner of Ascension Catholic Church for over 60 years and
11an ardent supporter of Misericordia and the Oak Park Education
12Foundation; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Marianne Hall was the center and heart of a large
14and close-knit family, who value her life lessons about working
15hard, staying strong, and having fun; she showed a fierce
16dedication to her family, community, and faith and was also a
17dear friend and relative to many; in addition to taking care of
18her own family, she also provided daycare for neighborhood
19families; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Marianne Hall was a great example of how to keep
21cool in times of trouble; she provided an example of "what a

1great lady with an even greater smile and spirit" could be;
2neighbors were glad to have lived down the street from her and
3enjoyed the "spill-over of fun"; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Marianne Hall was preceded in death by her parents
5and her beloved husband, Bill, and daughter, Andrea; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Marianne Hall was the loving mother of Mary Jo
7(Stephen) Schuler, Jeanne (Mark) List, Norine (John) Mullins,
8Holly Olis, Susan (David) Mika, Katie (John) Cook, Billy Hall,
9and Kerry (Ron) Baer, the doting "Nana" of 19 grandchildren,
10Allyson, Jake, and James Baer, Courtney and Kelly Cook, Amanda
11List, Niall McMahon, Sarah, Ellen, and Alex Mika, Elizabeth,
12Maggie, Katie, Molly, and Michael Mullins, Brittany and Teagan
13Olis, and Andrea and Ryan Schuler, and sister to Edmond (Nancy)
14Ryan, Judy (Ralph) Kamradt, and John (Sue) Ryan; therefore, be
15it
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
18Marianne Hall and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
19friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
20    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21presented to the family of Marianne Hall as an expression of
22our deepest sympathy.
