SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Cornelius L. Jackson, who passed away on
4September 17, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Cornelius Jackson was born in Oak Lawn to Adrian
6Chester and Arronis Jackson Sr. on January 3, 1989; he attended
7First Corinthian Baptist Church, where he committed to his
8faith at a young age; he attended Bogan High School and
9successfully completed the Automotive Technology Program; he
10then continued his education in Automotive Technology at ITT
11Tech; in 2009, he enrolled in the Jobs for Youth Program in
12downtown Chicago and received a certificate in Microsoft Office
13Programs; he joined the Strong Futures Program at St. Sabina
14Church in June 2016 and attended job fairs, motivational
15speaking events, and "Stop the Violence" rallies; he married
16Dangela Tripp in April 2018; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Cornelius Jackson had dreams and goals he was
18determined to accomplish; he enjoyed spending time with his son
19and attending karate competitions and field trips; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Cornelius Jackson is survived by his mother; his
21father; his grandparents, Lillie and Jesse Chester Sr., and
22Darletta Meyers; his wife, Dangela Tripp-Jackson; his son,

1Le'Sean Garrett; his sisters, Andrea Stulgate, Jasmine
2Marlowe, Dione Scott, Deja Scott, and Armeisha Jackson; his
3brothers, Jeffrey Marlowe Jr., Jonas Marlowe, Dyonte Scott,
4Carletto Jackson, Arronis Jackson Jr., and Diontae Jones; and
5his many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and
6extended family; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Cornelius L. Jackson and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Cornelius Jackson as an expression
14of our deepest sympathy.
