SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Boyd C. Fisher of Hampton, who passed
4away on September 22, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Boyd Fisher was born in Greeley, Nebraska to
6George and Bertha (Leigh) Fisher on March 6, 1947; he married
7Pamela (Redman) Hurley in East Moline on February 14, 1998; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Boyd Fisher was a well-decorated United States
9Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War; he retired as a
10truck driver from Atlas Intermodule; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Boyd Fisher was an avid fan of the Nebraska
12Cornhuskers; he truly enjoyed time with his family, especially
13at family cookouts; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Boyd Fisher was preceded in death by his parents;
15his four brothers; and his sister; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Boyd Fisher is survived by his wife, Pam; his
17children, Tina Fisher, Shane (Lisa) Fisher, and Melissa
18(Quentin) Swan; his stepchildren, Darrin Hurley and Jenny
19(Bruce) Erwin; and his grandchildren, Kaeleigh Swan, Braleigh
20Swan, Morgan Bender, Tessa Erwin, Tyson Bates, and Matthew

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Boyd C. Fisher and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Boyd Fisher as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
