SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ann Sallans Coyne; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Ann Coyne was the daughter of Ambrose and Margaret
5Ryan Sallans; she graduated from St. Angela School and
6Providence High School with fond memories of the West Side; she
7was married to Raymond F. Coyne Jr. for 65 years; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Anne Coyne was known for her selfless nature and
9for always encouraging others to pursue adventures and follow
10their dreams; she was very active in her community and parish
11in the Austin neighborhood, while still caring for her two
12children and managing a full-time job as a longtime employee of
13Madigan's Department Store; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ann Coyne was a scout leader; she was a former
15resident of Mayslake Village of Oak Brook, Westmont, Elmwood
16Park, and Chicago; she and her husband, Raymond, enjoyed
17traveling in Europe and Central America with the Chicago Police
18Sergeant's Association; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Ann Coyne was preceded in death by her parents;
20her husband, Raymond; her brothers, William (Rita) Sallans and
21John (Evelyn) Sallans; and

1    WHEREAS, Ann Coyne is survived by her children, Raymond
2(Mary Madden) Coyne and Peggy Horan; her grandchildren, Heather
3Horan (fiance Allen Grubbs), Holly Horan, Raymond (Kristin)
4Coyne, Kathleen (Nicholas) Prause, Michael Coyne (fiance
5Christina Weber), and Bridget (Aaron Myers) Coyne; her
6great-grandchildren, Sloane Prause, Kara Coyne, Napoleon
7Prause, Patrick Coyne, Rockwell Prause, and Tallulah Mae
8Grubbs; and her sister, Mary (Richard) Munda; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Ann Sallans Coyne and extend our sincere condolences to her
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Ann Coyne as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
