SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph Nugara, who passed away on July
423, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Nugara was born in Chicago to Charles and
6Palma (DiLiberto) on November 12, 1917; he served in the United
7States Army during World War II in Normandy, the Rhineland,
8Central Europe, Africa, and the Middle East; he earned three
9Bronze Battle Stars and an Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Joseph Nugara was the honorary chairman of
11VillageProfile.com, Inc.; he authored a book of poems: Black
12and White and Living Color, One Generation To Another; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Joseph Nugara loved to spend time with his family,
14especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Joseph Nugara was preceded in death by his
16parents; his wife of 64 years, Mary V. (Losurdo); and his
17siblings, James, Sam, Ann, Claudia, Mary, Rose, and Josephine;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Joseph Nugara is survived by his children, Joseph
20C. Sr. (Maryann) Nugara and Daniel M. (Joan) Nugara; his

1grandchildren, April (Martin) Alvarado, Joseph C. Jr.,
2Stefanie, Michael (Tricia), and Robert Nugara; his
3great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Alex, Antonio, Sofia, Danielle,
4Sara, and Justin; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore,
5be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Joseph Nugara, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Joseph Nugara as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
