SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Frederic J. "Fred" Siebenmann Jr. of
4Moline, who passed away on June 6, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Fred Siebenmann Jr. was born in Moline to Frederic
6Jean and Francess (Pruessing) Siebenmann Sr. on October 16,
71927; he served in the United States Army from February 28,
81946 until August 31, 1947; he married Mary Frances Hansen on
9June 17, 1950; he earned a master's degree in public health;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Fred Siebenmann Jr. was an administrator at
12several county health departments, including Fulton County,
13Jackson County, and Rock Island County; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Fred Siebenmann Jr. was active with many
15charitable organizations, including the Union Congregational
16United Church of Christ, Church World Service, CROP Walk, where
17he was their all-time money-raising leader, Pals of Petersen
18Park, where he and his wife organized the first Adopt-A-Park
19group in Moline, and the John Keets AIDS Foundation; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Fred Siebenmann Jr. was preceded in death by his
21parents and his wife, Mary; and

1    WHEREAS, Fred Siebenmann Jr. is survived by his daughters,
2Patricia (Patsy) Lee Cummings-Siebenmann and Kathleen Francess
3Siebenmann; his son, Frederic Jean (Melody Sweet) Siebenmann
4III; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Cummings, Patrick Jean
5Cummings, and Allison Siebenmann; his great-grandchildren,
6Chloe Cummings, Macey Cummings, Patrick Jean Cummings Jr., and
7Finley Cummings; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be
8it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Frederic J. "Fred" Siebenmann Jr. and extend our sincere
12condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
13him; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Fred Siebenmann Jr. as an expression
16of our deepest sympathy.
