SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Antoinette "Toni" Virginia Frederick Fox,
4who passed away on May 26, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Antoinette Fox was born in Paris, Wisconsin to
6Catherine (Terry) and Michael Frederick on September 23, 1918;
7she attended local grade and high schools; she attended
8Whitewater State Teacher's College and graduated from
9Racine-Kenosha Rural Normal School; she married William F.
10"Bill" Fox at Saint John's Catholic Church in Paris, Wisconsin
11on October 9, 1943; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Antoinette Fox began her career teaching all eight
13grades in a one-room school in Kenosha County, Wisconsin; she
14later taught at Holy Angels School in Aurora; after retiring
15from teaching, she was employed at Mercy Center and later at
16McAuley Manor; she volunteered at both Rosary High School and
17Provena Mercy Center; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Antoinette Fox was a life member of Saint
19Catherine's Hospital Auxiliary in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the
20Mercy Center Auxiliary, and the Abbot Marmion Society of
21Marmion Abbey in Aurora; she was also a member of the Basilica
22of Saint Stanislaus Kostka in Winona, Wisconsin and

1Annunciation BVM Parish in Aurora; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Antoinette Fox was preceded in death by her
3husband, Bill; her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Madden (Daniel)
4Fox; her grandson's wife, Erika Knight (James) Fox; her
5parents; her brothers, Lawrence, Frank, Louis, and Albert; and
6her sisters, Anne, Margaret, Sister Carolyn OSF, Sister Laurene
7OSF, Elizabeth, and Louise; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Antoinette Fox is survived by her daughter, Mary
9Catherine; her sons, James (Susan), Daniel (Mary), Michael
10(Barbara), and Bill (Janice); her grandchildren, James (Megan)
11Fox, Christopher Fox, Lauren Fox Brown (Ward), Brian Fox,
12William Fox (Alexandra Lake), Veronica Fox Miller (Ryan), Molly
13Fox Larimer (Adam), Captain Thomas F. Fox (Chloe), Rebecca Fox,
14First Lieutenant Jane Fox, and Alyssa Fox; her
15great-grandchildren, Andrew Fox, Christopher "CJ" Fox, Liza
16Brown, Sarah Antoinette Fox, Charlotte Brown, Madeline Fox,
17Mikayla Miller, Grant Fox, Antoinette "Etta" Fox, Louise
18Larimer, and Braydin Miller; and many nieces and nephews and
19dear friends; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
21ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
22Antoinette "Toni" Virginia Frederick Fox, and extend our
23sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew

2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3presented to the family of Antoinette Fox as an expression of
