SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Milton L. Messick of Marengo, who passed
4away on May 17, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Milton Messick was born in Topeka, Kansas to
6Clarence and Tressa (Melton) Messick on October 25, 1933; he
7served in the United States Army during the Korean War and
8married Joyce Thurman in St. Louis on June 11, 1966; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Milton Messick retired from Motorola after 34
10years of service; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Milton Messick was a member of the Masonic Grand
12Lodge of Kansas AF & AM and the Scottish Rite; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Milton Messick was preceded in death by his
14parents and his brother, Clarence Messick Jr.; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Milton Messick is survived by his wife of 51
16years, Joyce; his children, Julie (David) Camel and Steven
17Messick; and his grandchildren, Grace and Olivia Camel and Cody
18and Tyler Messick; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Milton L. Messick, and extend our sincere condolences to his
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
4further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Milton Messick as an expression of
7our deepest sympathy.
