SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Chuck Dallas, who passed away on May 12,
42018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Chuck Dallas was born in Muscatine, Iowa to
6Russell C. and Dorothy E. Hintermeister Dallas on May 14, 1944;
7he served in the United States Army 1st Calvary Division and
82nd Army Cavalry Regiment, Nuremberg, Germany during the
9Vietnam conflict; he married LaDonna M. Lang in April 1993; and
 
10    WHEREAS, In 2005, Chuck Dallas retired from Sexton Ford
11Sales, where he was employed as a collision repair specialist
12for 38 years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Chuck Dallas was an avid outdoorsman; he was a
14member of the National Rifle Association, The Rock Island
15Conservation Club, The Milan American Legion Post 569, and the
16Quad Cities Parrot Society; he enjoyed his parrots, hunting,
17fishing, lakes, rivers, and hiking through timbers with his
18friends; he was a fan of the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Cubs,
19and the Fighting Illini; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Chuck Dallas was preceded in death by his parents
21and his brother, Lloyd Mosley; and

1    WHEREAS, Chuck Dallas is survived by his children, John M.
2Dallas and Diana Lynn Otto and their spouses; his
3granddaughter, Michelle (Richard) Dallas Baker; his grandson,
4Connor Dallas; his sisters, Donna J. Price, and Linda (Joe)
5Dallas Wilson; his brothers, David (Barb) Mosley and Mark
6(Kathy) Mosley Lain; his "band of brothers," Mike, Bill, Dan,
7and Dick Edwards and Paul Carlson; his ex-wife, Donna Stabler;
8and his birds; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Chuck Dallas and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
12friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Chuck Dallas as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
