SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Frederick M. "Fred" Kunst of Milan, who
4passed away on May 12, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Fred Kunst was born in Melrose Park to Ernest J.
6Sr. and Duane Fugman Kunst on September 6, 1944; he served in
7the United States Army during the Vietnam War and married V.
8Viola Davidson on January 6, 1968; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Fred Kunst worked for the Lady Luck Casino as a
10bus driver; prior to that, he had been employed by Johannes Bus
11Service, numerous trucking companies, and IH Farmall; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Fred Kunst was a member of Milan American Legion
13Post 569; he was a 40-year member of A.A.; he enjoyed fishing,
14mushroom hunting, camping, playing cards, and watching the
15Chicago Cubs and Bears; he was always willing to help others in
16need, whether it was by giving an ear to listen, driving
17someone to a meeting, or opening his home for a meal or a bed;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Fred Kunst was preceded in death by his wife,
20Viola; his parents; his brother, Ernest J. "Butch" Kunst Jr.;
21and his sisters and brothers-in-law, Wilma and John P. Fuller,

1Katherine and Wendlyn Behrens, Shirley and Robert Cover, and
2Billy Davidson; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Fred Kunst is survived by his children, Frederick
4S. and Debbra S. Kunst; his sister-in-law, Janet Kunst; and
5many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Frederick M. "Fred" Kunst, and extend our sincere condolences
9to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Fred Kunst as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
