SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Frances Lena Freund of McHenry, who
4passed away on April 21, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frances Freund was born in Chicago to Edi and Lena
6(Grill) Thomas on December 10, 1928; she married Eugene Freund
7at St. Ritas in Chicago on January 3, 1959; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Frances Freund was an employee of both Nation
9Chemical and Campbell's; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Frances Freund was an active and proud member of
11the community; she joined multiple clubs, including the Red
12Hatters; she loved to sing and especially loved the time she
13spent as a young woman at her family cottage in Wonder Lake
14during the summer; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Frances Freund was preceded in death by her
16husband of over 44 years, Eugene; her parents; her brothers,
17John (the late Helen) Thomas and Peter (the late Dorothy)
18Thomas; her sisters, Elizabeth (the late Bill) Bollacker and
19Mary (the late Ed) Primozic; her daughter, Cynthia Ramsay; her
20granddaughter, Elizabeth Ramsay; her great-grandson, Colin
21Loud; her sisters-in-law, Joan (Robert) Freund, Joan (late

1Paul) Freund, and Dolores Freund; and her brother-in-law,
2George Gilpin; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Frances Freund is survived by her children, Sheryl
4(Theodore "Skip") Sorensen, Scott (Deanna) Freund, Peter
5(Kimberly) Freund, and Claudia Freund; her son-in-law, George
6Ramsay; her grandchildren, Holly (Kevin) Loud, Melanie
7Sorensen, Katelyn (Patrick) Conway, Amber Freund, Austin
8Freund, Ashley Freund, and Stephanie Freund; her
9great-grandsons, Jacob and T.J. Loud, and E.J. Colecio; her
10sister-in-Law, Barbara Gilpin; her brother-in-law, Robert
11Freund; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Frances Lena Freund, and extend our sincere condolences to her
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Frances Freund as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
