SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Don E. St. Germaine Sr. of Bonfield, who
4passed away on March 28, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Don St. Germaine Sr. was born in Bonfield to
6Benjamin and Laura "Belle" Hill St. Germaine on November 10,
71929; he married Shirley Burch at St. Mary's Catholic Church in
8Kankakee on November 28, 1953; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Don St. Germaine Sr. was a retired farmer and
10concrete truck driver for Raspolich Concrete; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Don St. Germaine Sr. was a member of Sacred Heart
12Catholic Church in Goodrich and a former member of the Bonfield
13Lions Club and the Essex Lions Club; he took pride in
14maintaining his lawn, and he and Shirley had beautiful gardens
15for many years; he enjoyed playing cards and snowmobiling; he
16loved his children and in earlier years took them on many
17vacations; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Don St. Germaine Sr. was preceded in death by his
19parents; and his sisters, Beneita LaMontagne, Joyce Buza, Carol
20Bradley, and Erleen LaMontagne; and

1    WHEREAS, Don St. Germaine Sr. is survived by his wife,
2Shirley; his son, Don E. St. Germaine Jr.; his daughter, Stacy
3(Michael) Reiss; his grandchildren, Cailin and Timmy; his dog,
4Happy; his brother, David (Sue) St. Germaine; and his sister,
5Geraldine Bauer; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Don E. St. Germaine Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to
9his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Don St. Germaine Sr. as an
13expression of our deepest sympathy.
