SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dominic M. "Dom" Paone of Joliet, who
4passed away on November 4, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dominic Paone graduated from St. Joseph Grade
6School in 1965 and Joliet Catholic High School in 1969; he
7received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Lewis
8University in 1973 and graduated from the University of
9Wisconsin, School of Bank Administration Executive Program;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Dominic Paone enjoyed a long career in banking as
12a vice president for First Midwest Bank, the First National
13Bank of Joliet, and BMO Harris Bank, all in downtown Joliet; he
14was a member of the Institute of Management Accountants; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Dominic Paone was an avid sports fan; he enjoyed
16attending games and following his beloved Chicago Cubs, Bears,
17Bulls, and Notre Dame football; one of his passions was to
18watch his sons and grandsons participate in sports and he never
19missed a game; he loved to travel, attending numerous college
20football games and baseball tournaments to watch his boys; he
21enjoyed visiting Disneyland and Disney World and always looked
22forward to the annual family trip to Las Vegas; and

1    WHEREAS, Dominic Paone was preceded in death by his
2parents, Dominic T. and Dorothy A. (Pappas) Paone; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Dominic Paone is survived by his proud sons,
4Michael J. (Carleen) Paone and Brian M. (Kristan) Paone; his
5beloved grandsons, Brandon, Alexander, Vincent, and Matthew;
6his sisters, Donna J. Crossen and Diane (Robert) Remley; his
7nephew and godson, William A. Crossen; his former spouse, Linda
8Paone; and numerous cousins; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Dominic M. "Dom" Paone, and extend our sincere condolences to
12his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Dominic Paone as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
