SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Howard F. Hoffman of Hampshire, who
4passed away on October 15, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Howard Hoffman was born in St. Charles to William
6and Edith (Olson) Hoffman on May 19, 1938; he graduated from
7Burlington Central High School in 1956 and married Bernice
8Henning at Trinity Lutheran Church in Huntley on May 19, 1962;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Howard Hoffman was a truck driver for over 45
11years for several different companies in the area; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Howard Hoffman loved to drive and enjoyed
13traveling and trips with the family; he was a longtime member
14of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he had served as an usher;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Howard Hoffman was preceded in death by his
17parents; his sister, Louella Hoffman; and his brother, Alvin
18(Mary Ann) Hoffman; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Howard Hoffman is survived by his wife, Bernice;
20his daughters, Pamela (George) Cumpata and Deborah (Keith)

1Nelson; his grandchildren, Tara and Jake Nelson; his sister,
2Gloria (Virgil) Vogel; and several nieces and nephews;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Howard F. Hoffman, and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Howard Hoffman as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
