SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Louis D. Ohlrich, formerly of Crystal
4Lake, who passed away on August 9, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Louis Ohlrich was born in Woodstock to Josephine
6M. (Worts) and Louis F. Ohlrich on December 18, 1930; he served
7in the United States Air Force in the country of his ancestors,
8Germany, where he met and married Gisela Schmidt-Hatting; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Louis Ohlrich worked for the National Tea Company
10as a store manager; later, he ran a successful business as a
11bread distributor for Brownberry Premium Breads; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Louis Ohlrich loved traveling throughout the
13United States, Canada, and Europe; he enjoyed reading, music,
14camping, canoeing, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, skiing,
15gardening, and wood carving; most of all, he loved spending
16time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Louis Ohlrich was preceded in death by his parents
18and one child; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Louis Ohlrich is survived by his wife, Gisela;
20three of his children; four grandsons; his sister, Carol, and

1her three children, four grandchildren, and two
2great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Louis D. Ohlrich, and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Louis Ohlrich as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
