SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charlotte Myrtie Deneen of Marengo, who
4passed away on August 23, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Charlotte Deneen was born in Harvard to Emil H.
6and Myrtie Mae (Wright) Reese on February 7, 1927; she married
7William F. Deneen in Marengo on May 27, 1950; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Charlotte Deneen was a member of Trinity Lutheran
9Church in Harvard, the Harvard Moose Lodge, the Moose Golden
10Agers, the Jaycettes, and the VFW Auxiliary; she enjoyed
11knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, playing cards, and
12spending time with her family and friends; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Charlotte Deneen was preceded in death by her
14parents; her husband, William; her brothers, Emil, Clarence,
15and Charles (Charlotte's twin); and her sisters, Orillia Busch,
16Rose Schmidt, and Martha Stoxen; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Charlotte Deneen is survived by her children,
18Michael (Carol) Deneen and Luann (James) Kanaly; her
19grandchildren, Sarah (John W.) Isaacson, David Ley, John
20(Michelle) Kanaly, Kathy (Randy) Armknecht, Trenton (Deann)
21Bruha, Philip (Heather) Bruha, and Aaron (Alma) Bruha; her

1great-grandchildren, John R. Isaacson, Scerean Ley, Tyler
2Kanaly, Aubrey and Leah Armknecht, Alyssa, Christopher, Blake,
3Cooper, Gavin, Cassandra, and Andrew Bruha, and Lynzie Olivas;
4her sister-in-law, Marion Reese; her brother-in-law, Robert
5Stoxen; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Charlotte Myrtie Deneen, and extend our sincere condolences to
10her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Charlotte Deneen as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
