SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Alicia Mary Scandiff, who passed away on
4August 8, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Alicia Scandiff was born in Chicago to John and
6Kathleen Smith on December 12, 1923; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Alicia Scandiff retired from Illinois Bell
8Telephone Company in the 1960s; she also worked as a realtor
9for Coldwell Banker, and was the first parish secretary at St.
10Dismas Catholic Church of Waukegan; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Alicia Scandiff was a member of the Red Hat
12Society; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Alicia Scandiff was preceded in death by her
14parents; her husband, George Albert Scandiff; her son, George
15R. Scandiff; and her sister, Eileen Remington; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Alicia Scandiff is survived by her children,
17Sherry (Joe) Manning, Gary (Barbara) Scandiff, John Scandiff,
18and Charles (Vicky) Scandiff; her sister, Karen (David) Harms;
19her 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren,
20nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Alicia Mary Scandiff, and extend our sincere condolences to her
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Alicia Scandiff as an expression of
8our deepest sympathy.
