SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James H. "Jack" Johnson of Beach Park,
4who passed away on July 14, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Johnson was born in McLeansboro to Thomas
6and Stella (Russell) Johnson on July 19, 1926; and
 
7    WHEREAS, James Johnson retired from Abbott Labs after 42
8years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, James Johnson and his wife traveled extensively
10worldwide with the Chuck Paxton's Senior Park District Travel
11Club; he also enjoyed traveling domestically, following his
12grandchildren's sporting events; he was a member of Meadowridge
13Baptist Church in Zion; and
 
14    WHEREAS, James Johnson was preceded in death by his
15grandson, Brent Charles Johnson; his sisters, Hallie, Ruby, and
16Chloe; and his parents; and
 
17    WHEREAS, James Johnson is survived by his wife of over 70
18years, Charlotte Mae Johnson; his children, Dennis (Ann)
19Johnson, Charles T. (Emily) Johnson, and Dianne (Eddie) Moore;
20his grandchildren, Andrew (Sherra) Johnson, Benjamin

2McKown, Tiffany (Guy) Meikel, Adam (Deborah) Johnson, Nichole

4numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7James H. "Jack" Johnson, and extend our sincere condolences to
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of James Johnson as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
