SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lawrence Gohmann, who passed away on June
48, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lawrence Gohmann was born in Chicago on September
66, 1949 and resided there until he moved to the northwest
7suburbs of Chicago to raise his family; he served with the
8United States Army, 23rd Infantry Division during the Vietnam
9War from 1968 to 1969 and was awarded the Army Commendation
10Medal; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Lawrence Gohmann retired from the United States
12Post Office as postmaster of Crystal Lake in 1993 after 25
13years of service; he founded a mailing supply business, for
14which he served as president; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Lawrence Gohmann moved to Sarasota, Florida in
162000; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Lawrence Gohmann was the loving father of Jennifer
18(James) Roberts and Michael (Jessica) Hawryluk; the loving
19grandfather of Josephine, Samantha, Jacob, Lucy, Jillian, and
20Alexa; the beloved brother of Stephen (Phyllis) Gohmann, James
21(Susie) Gohmann, Marena Gohmann, Elaine Specha, and the late

1Mary Jane Meyer; and the loving uncle of many nieces and
2nephews and great-nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Lawrence Gohmann, and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Lawrence Gohmann as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
