SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Brian K. Lee of McHenry, who passed away
4on June 13, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Brian Lee was born in Chicago to Garth and Elsie
6(Leire) Lee on July 20, 1947; he graduated from Dundee High
7School in 1965; he earned his bachelor's degree in industrial
8technology from Southern Illinois University and his master's
9degree in business administration from the Lake Forest Graduate
10School of Management; he married Britt Jacobsen on August 10,
111968; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Brian Lee worked at AptarGroup, Inc. as the
13Director of Purchasing for 27 years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Brian Lee was a very caring and generous person,
15who was always willing to help anyone in need; he was a fan of
16the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs; he also enjoyed playing
17the guitar, reading, traveling, fishing, and spending time with
18his brother, Nolen; he will be missed by many dear friends and
19family; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Brian Lee was a member of the Moose Lodge in
21Woodstock and Redeemer Lutheran Church, where he played in the

1band; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Brian Lee was preceded in death by his parents;
3his in-laws, Randi (Solem) Jacobsen and Johan Jacobsen; and his
4twin grandchildren, Benjamin and Sarah Brinkman; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Brian Lee is survived by his wife, Britt; his
6daughter, Elsa (Dan) Brinkman; his twin granddaughters, Madie
7and Caity Brinkman; his brother, Nolen (Juanita) Lee; his
8brother-in-law, Bjorn Jacobsen (Marit); his stepmother, Lil
9Lee; his nieces and nephews, Kasey Lee (Tom Mathews), Dana
10Masur (Andy and Freya), Travis Lee (Amy, Cerise, Mykel, Fisher,
11and Coleman), Mina Lundborg (Marius and Lilly Sofie), and H kon
12Jacobsen; and his step-siblings, Mary Beth Mackey, Janet (Mike)
13John, Otto Dwayne (Candy) Lee, and David Lee; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Brian K. Lee, and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
17friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Brian Lee as an expression of our
20deepest sympathy.
