SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lily "Lil" Visconti of Ringwood, who
4passed away on May 7, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lily Visconti was born in McKeesport,
6Pennsylvania to William and Edith (Hoffman) Boyd on September
75, 1949; she graduated from McHenry High School in 1967 and
8married Frank Visconti in McHenry on June 1, 1968; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Lily Visconti worked as a secretary at Modine and
10Oak Manufacturing; she was a professional cake decorator and
11operated L & L Pizza in Ringwood for several years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Lily Visconti was a former member of Ringwood
13United Methodist Church, where she served on the church
14council; she was a member of the Wonder Lake Auxiliary Fire
15Department, volunteer at Ringwood and Johnsburg schools,
16volunteer with the Red Cross, and Boy Scout merit badge
17counselor; she enjoyed camping, cooking, shopping, jewelry,
18and most importantly, helping others; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Lily Visconti was preceded by her father, William
20Boyd, and her sisters, Carolyn Boyd, Yvonne Bounds, and Edith
21Hoffman; and

1    WHEREAS, Lily Visconti is survived by her husband, Frank;
2her son, Frank Visconti; her mother, Edith Harrison; and many
3nieces, nephews, and Godchildren; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Lily "Lil" Visconti, and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Lily Visconti as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
