SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Tom Deram of North Chicago, who passed
4away on April 1, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Tom Deram was born to Frank and Mary (Treven)
6Deram on January 19, 1946; he attended Mother of God Grade
7School and North Chicago High School; he received his degree in
8Production Management Technology from the College of Lake
9County (CLC) and served in the United States Army Reserve from
101966 to 1972; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Tom Deram worked at OMC-Marine Engineering,
12Buehler LTD, and Toolamation Inc., from where he retired in
132012; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Tom Deram was a member of American Legion Post 771
15and St. Mary 79 KSKJ; he was a fan of the Chicago White Sox and
16the Chicago Bears; he loved playing golf, especially with the
17Sunday morning guys at Foss Park and the Tuesday night league
18at Bonnie Brook; he was on many softball and basketball teams
19with the Waukegan KSKJ and coached youth baseball for 13 years
20in the Waukegan Baseball Association; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Tom Deram was preceded in death by his parents and

1his brother, John; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Tom Deram is survived by his loving wife, Lynn
3(Wienke); his children, David (Brooke), Douglas, and Danielle
4(Keith) Barnett; seven grandchildren, Mason, Finley, Graham
5Barnett, Jonah, Miles, Avery, and Quinn Deram; his
6sister-in-law, Kathy Deram Clark; and his nephews, John, Eric,
7and Tony Deram; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Tom Deram, and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
11friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Tom Deram as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
