SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Betty J. Kerpan, who passed away on
4January 13, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Betty Kerpan was born in Almeria, Nebraska on May
624, 1923; she was a longtime resident of Waukegan, where she
7married Jack Kerpan; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Betty Kerpan had many hobbies including quilting,
9baking, cooking, gardening, and reading; she truly enjoyed
10keeping healthy with her early morning exercise routine; she
11had a very strong faith and dearly loved her church and church
12friends; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Betty Kerpan was preceded in death by her husband,
14Jack, and her son, Larry Kerpan; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Betty Kerpan is survived by her children, Sharon
16(David) Van Dis, Gary Kerpan, David Kerpan, Debbie (Raymond
17Rodgers) Guilfoil, and Kevin (Barbara) Kerpan; her stepson,
18Jack Jr. (Mipian) Kerpan; 11 grandchildren; and 16
19great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Betty J. Kerpan, and extend our sincere condolences to her
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
4further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Betty Kerpan as an expression of our
7deepest sympathy.
