AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1671




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1671 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:


 
 
4    "Section 5. The Public Community College Act is amended  by 
5changing Section 3-11 as follows:
 



6    (110 ILCS 805/3-11)  (from Ch. 122, par. 103-11)



7    Sec. 3-11. 
The board of each community college district is 
8a body politic
and
corporate by the name of "Board of Trustees 
9of (common name of community college), Community College 
10District
No. ...., County (or Counties) of .... and State of 
11Illinois" or "Board of
Trustees of .... (common name of 
12community college), County (or Counties) of
..... and State of 
13Illinois" and by that
name may sue and be sued in all courts 
14and places where judicial
proceedings are had. The State Board 
15shall issue a number to each community
college district, which 
16number shall be incorporated in the name of the
board of that

1district. A board may use the common name of the community 
2college standing alone in its operations.
