AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1614

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1614 as follows:
 
3on page 1, by replacing line 8 with "6-306.5, and 11-208.3 and
4by adding Section 6-209.1 as follows:"; and
 
5on page 17, by replacing lines 10 through 15 with:
6    "(c) For the purposes of this Code, a forfeiture of bail or
7collateral deposited to secure a defendant's appearance in
8court when forfeiture has not been vacated, or the failure of a
9defendant to appear for trial after depositing his driver's
10license in lieu of other bail, shall be equivalent to a
11conviction."; and
 
12on page 39, by replacing lines 14 through 16 with:
13        "26. Has altered or attempted to alter a license or has
14    possessed an altered license, identification card, or
15    permit;"; and

1on page 41, by replacing lines 20 through 25 with:
2        "34. Has committed a violation of Section 11-1301.5 of
3    this Code or a similar provision of a local ordinance;

6    and
 
7on page 43, by replacing lines 9 through 15 with:
8        "45. Has, in connection with or during the course of a
9    formal hearing conducted under Section 2-118 of this Code:
10    (i) committed perjury; (ii) submitted fraudulent or
11    falsified documents; (iii) submitted documents that have
12    been materially altered; or (iv) submitted, as his or her
13    own, documents that were in fact prepared or composed for
14    another person;"; and
 
15on page 43, by replacing lines 20 through 23 with:
16        "48. Has submitted a falsified or altered medical
17    examiner's certificate to the Secretary of State or
18    provided false information to obtain a medical examiner's
19    certificate."; and
 
20by deleting line 15 on page 53 through line 5 on page 57; and

1    "(625 ILCS 5/6-209.1 new)
2    Sec. 6-209.1. Restoration of driving privileges;
3suspension; cancellation. The Secretary shall rescind the
4suspension or cancellation of a person's driver's license that
5has been suspended or cancelled prior to the effective date of
6this amendatory Act of the 100th General Assembly due to:
7    (1) a conviction of theft of motor fuel under Section 16-25
8or 16K-15 of the Criminal Code of 1961 or the Criminal Code of
92012;
10    (2) the person, since the issuance of the driver's license,
11being adjudged to be afflicted with or suffering from any
12mental disability or disease;
13    (3) a violation of Section 6-16 or 6-20 of the Liquor
14Control Act of 1934 or a similar provision of a local
15ordinance;
16    (4) the person receiving a disposition of court supervision
17for a violation of subsection (a), (b), or (c) of Section 6-20
18of the Liquor Control Act of 1934 or a similar provision of a
19local ordinance;
20    (5) a violation of subsection (j) of Section 3-413 of this
21Code;
22    (6) the person failing to pay any fine or penalty due or
23owing as a result of 10 or more violations of a municipality's
24or county's vehicular standing, parking, or compliance
25regulations established by ordinance under Section 11-208.3 of

1this Code;
2    (7) the person failing to satisfy any fine or penalty
3resulting from a final order issued by the Authority relating
4directly or indirectly to 5 or more toll violations, toll
5evasions, or both; or
6    (8) a conviction of a sex offense as defined in the Sex
7Offender Registration Act."; and
 
8by deleting line 5 on page 64 through line 18 on page 65.
