1    AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Emergency Management Assistance Compact Act
5is amended by changing Section 10 as follows:
 
6    (45 ILCS 151/10)
7    Sec. 10. Reimbursements and expenses. The Illinois
8Emergency Management Agency as the authorized representative
9of the State may use the Disaster Response and Recovery Fund to
10deposit any reimbursements received from a party state and to
11pay any expenses incurred relating to this Act.
12    Upon the request for and acceptance of assistance of the
13Illinois National Guard by a party state, the Governor may
14identify available funds and request that the Comptroller shall
15direct and the Treasurer shall transfer those funds as needed
16to the Illinois National Guard State Active Duty Fund in order
17to support the salaries and other costs for soldiers on
18Illinois State Active Duty status. Upon the receipt of
19reimbursement from the party state or any other source, the
20Illinois Emergency Management Agency shall reimburse the
21Illinois National Guard State Active Duty Fund in accordance
22with Section 56-2 of the Military Code of Illinois and shall
23request that the Comptroller shall direct and the Treasurer

1shall transfer monies in amounts necessary to reimburse any
2other funds from which monies were transferred to support the
3salaries and other costs for soldiers on Illinois State Active
4Duty status.

6    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
7becoming law.
