    Amends the Student Optional Disclosure of Private Mental Health Act. Provides that an institution of higher learning may designate someone to act as a qualified examiner.

1    AN ACT concerning education.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Student Optional Disclosure of Private
5Mental Health Act is amended by changing Section 5 as follows:
 
6    (110 ILCS 74/5)
7    Sec. 5. Definitions. In this Act:
8    (a) "Designated person" means a parent, guardian, or other
9person over the age of 18 designated by the student to receive
10disclosure of certain private mental health information.
11    (b) "Qualified examiner" has the meaning ascribed to that
12term in Section 1-122 of the Mental Health and Developmental
13Disabilities Code or means another person designated by an
14institution of higher learning.
