Amends the School Code. Provides that students in grades 11 and 12 of East St. Louis School District 189 may take courses at Southwestern Illinois College for dual credit at no cost to the student. Amends the Public Community College Act to make conforming changes.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 | | 22-83 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (105 ILCS 5/22-83 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 22-83. Southwestern Illinois College dual credit |
| 8 | | program. Notwithstanding any provisions of law to the contrary, |
| 9 | | students in grades 11 and 12 of East St. Louis School District |
| 10 | | 189 may take courses at Southwestern Illinois College for dual |
| 11 | | credit at no cost to the student.
