SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
520 ILCS 5/2.28-5 new

    Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that the Department of Natural Resources shall, on an annual basis, establish one deer hunting weekend for persons with disabilities in a manner consistent with the provisions of the Code. Provides that the Department may adopt administrative rules to implement the provision. Defines "person with a disability."

1    AN ACT concerning wildlife.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by adding Section
52.28-5 as follows:
 
6    (520 ILCS 5/2.28-5 new)
7    Sec. 2.28-5. Hunting weekend for persons with
8disabilities. The Department shall, on an annual basis,
9establish one deer hunting weekend for persons with
10disabilities in a manner consistent with the provisions of this
11Code. The Department may adopt administrative rules to
12implement the provisions of this Section. For the purpose of
13this Section, "person with a disability" means when that person
14has a Type 1 or Type 4, Class 2 disability as defined in
15Section 4A of the Illinois Identification Card Act. For
16purposes of this Section, an Illinois Person with a Disability
17Identification Card issued under the Illinois Identification
18Card Act indicating that the person named has a Type 1 or Type
194, Class 2 disability shall be adequate documentation of the
20disability.
