SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Makes appropriations to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity from the General Revenue Fund for grants, contracts, and administrative expenses associated with the Illinois Office of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology and for technology-based programs. Effective July 1, 2017.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity:
OFFICE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP, INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY
GRANTS
Payable from the General Revenue Fund:
For grants, contracts, and administrative
expenses associated with the Illinois
Office of Entrepreneurship, Innovation
and Technology, including prior year costs.... 5,500,000
For grants, contracts, and administrative
expenses associated with DCEO Technology-
Based Programs, including prior year
costs......................................... 2,500,000
Total....................................... $8,000,000
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2017.
