SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $40,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Arts Council to distribute grants for arts-based after school programs in communities that are in areas that are 125% above the poverty level according to the United States Census Bureau. Effective July 1, 2017.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5. The sum of $40,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Arts Council to distribute grants for arts-based after school programs in communities that are in areas that are 125% above the poverty level according to the United States Census Bureau.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2017.
