HOUSE RESOLUTION 44 Offered by Representative Hannig: WHEREAS, The members of this Body are happy to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the well-being of the citizens of this State; and WHEREAS, William C. Curtin is such an individual, having served on the Christian County Board for 26 years, the last 8 as Chairman; and WHEREAS, He was born in Bear Creek Township in Christian County on September 16, 1924, the son of Lawrence and Marie Curtin; he was raised on a farm and graduated from Stonington High School in 1942; and WHEREAS, He enlisted in the United States Army in 1944 and served during and after World War II in the European Theater; after being discharged, he started farming and raising Angus beef cattle; and WHEREAS, He married the former Margaret Unser from Morrisonville on September 1, 1949 and raised 3 children, Joe, Ellen, and Ben; and WHEREAS, He served on the Stonington Township Board of Trustees until moving to May Township, where he served on the May Township Board of Trustees; and WHEREAS, He is a past president of the Illinois Angus Association, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Stonington American Legion, the Assumption V.F.W., and the Christian County Historical Society; therefore, be it RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate William C.
