Representative Currie moved the adoption of the resolutions. The motion prevailed and the Resolutions were adopted. ACTION ON MOTION Pursuant to the motion submitted previously, Representative Cross moved that the Revenue Committee, including the Property Tax Subcommittee thereof, be discharge from further consideration of Senate Bill 1307 and Committee Amendment #1 thereto, that those measures be advanced to the order of Second Reading, and that the appropriate rules be suspended to provide for the immediate consideration of this motion and those measures. The Chair ruled that the Motion must appear on the Calendar before the House can vote on the Motion. Representative Cross then moved to suspend the provisions of House Rule 58(b) so that the Motion may be heard today. And on that motion a vote was taken as follows: 57, Yeas; 59, Nays; 0, Answering Present. (ROLL CALL 2) The motion lost. Representative Cross then moved to overrule the Chair. And the question being "Shall the Chair be sustained?" it was decided in the affirmative by the following vote: 60, Yeas; 56, Nays; 0, Answering Present. (ROLL CALL 3) The motion prevailed. HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTIONS CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS SECOND READING Having been read in full on February 3, 2000 and held on the order of Second Reading, HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT 19 was taken up and read in full a second time and held again on the order of Second Reading.
