Presented the 2005 Legislative Leadership Award from the Illinois Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Association. Named 2005 & 2004 Legislator of the Year by the by the Illinois Health Care Association; 2004 Legislator of the Year by the Illinois Association of County Officials; named 2004 Public Official of theYear by the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police; presented the 2004 ACTIVATOR Friend of Agriculture Award by the Illinois Farm Bureau.
