Biography: Full-time legislator; born New York, NY. She received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from Bradley University and her Ph.D. from Northern Illinois University. She serves as a Cook County Commissioner on Human Rights, on the board of the Rich Township Food Pantry and the Illinois Theatre Center, and is co-founder and past president of the Unity Coalition of the South Suburbs; she is also a trustee for Bradley University. Married.
