Section 420.1  Applicability and Referenced Agreements

The Illinois Department of Public Health designates the Rules for Joint Department Action Against Skilled Nursing Facilities and Intermediate Care Facilities Participating in the Medicaid Program (89 Ill. Adm. Code 104.Subpart D) and related provisions as the applicable rules for this Part under the authority of the following agreements:

a)         the Department's agreement with the federal Secretary of Health and Human Services to carry out the provisions of Sections 1864 and 1874 and related provisions of the Social Security Act, Title XVIII (42 USC 1395aa et seq.) relating to skilled nursing facilities; and

b)         the Department's agreement with the Illinois Department of Public Aid relating to Utilization Control, Quality Incentive Program, and Medicaid Enrollment, Title XIX (42 USC 1396a through 1396k et. seq.).
