Section 250.750  Emergency Services for Sexual Assault Victims

a)         All hospitals providing emergency services are required to render care to victims of sexual assault.  Such care shall be in accordance with 77 Ill. Adm. Code 545.60 the Treatment of Sexual Assault Victims.

b)         A hospital may fulfill its obligation to provide emergency service to sexual assault victims by participating in an areawide plan for emergency service in accordance with 77 Ill. Adm. Code 545.50, Treatment of Sexual Assault Victims, as now or hereafter amended.
