Section 5010.220  Inventory of Equipment

a)         All equipment with an acquisition value of $500 or more is subject to being reported to CMS by the holding agency.  Equipment with an acquisition value of less than $500 is not subject to reporting; however, agencies will be responsible for establishing and maintaining internal control records over these items.

b)         All items of equipment with an acquisition value of under $500 are not required to be reported to CMS, except that all firearms, cameras, calculators, antiques, and other items subject to theft must be reported regardless of acquisition cost.
