Section 4.8  Implementation of This Part

For the purposes of this Part, any reference to Chief Procurement Officer, CPO or CPO-HED means the Chief Procurement Officer for Public Institutions of Higher Education as defined in Section 1-15.15(3) of the Code unless the context indicates otherwise.  Implementation by and within the Universities shall be consistent with this Part.  Operational interpretations are to be made in a flexible manner designed to secure the Universities' needs and protect the Universities' interests.
